arrived well packaged and quickly. my horse is on mash feed sue to bad teeth, but I needn't have worried about this, fed dry with a little chaff he wolfed it down as a treat prior to his main feed. He has only had the first week loading but there has been some improvement already! looking forward to seeing results after the second week. If more improvement I will be happy to increase to 5 star reveiw.

Thank you for the speedy delivery and customer care as always.
The product is super palatable and smells amazing (the peppermint I assume). My cob licks his bowl clean every time. It also seems to have helped his loose bottom and FFWS to dry up.

Nutrition Information

  • Supports droppings accompanied by excess water.
  • Helps stabilise gut bacteria, especially during times of dietary change or digestive disturbance.
  • Supports gut microflora balance and intestinal integrity.
  • Supports a healthy hindgut environment
  • Ideal for horses experiencing loose droppings, or inconsistent faecal consistency.

Psyllium has been used traditionally in humans, and is a recognised management option for horses with excess water. Containing a soluble fibre source, Water-Free™ forms a gel-like substance when exposed to water. The water absorbing properties means it acts as a hydroscopic sponge, allowing it to pick up and aid the removal of unwanted foreign materia from the folds and bends of the digestive tract.

My horse doesn’t necessarily have loose dropping but does have excess water. Would Water-Free™ still be suitable?

Yes, Water-Free™ is suitable for horses experiencing excess water in their droppings, even if the droppings themselves are well-formed.

How does Water-Free™ soak up excess water in the gut?
This supplement contains a unique blend of soluble fibres with a high water-holding capacity, acting like a sponge in the gut to support a healthy hindgut environment.

Is there a specific time of year I should feed this supplement?
Sudden changes in a horse’s diet can upset the digestive system, which is common between seasons - especially in spring when fresh grass appears. However, this supplement can be fed at any time of year, whenever your horse needs that extra support.

Is Water-Free™ a short-term supplement, or will I need to feed this long-term?
Water-Free™ is a short-term supplement that should be fed according to your horse's body weight, with the amount adjusted based on our feeding guide.

How can I feed this supplement as my horse has damp feed?
As this supplement needs to be fed as dry as possible, we suggest layering it between dry feed/ chaff when possible. This helps prevent it from absorbing moisture too early and ensures it works effectively in the gut.
