When my horse finished the course of Gatro Guard,  I searched for an economical supplement to feed as a back up.  I did my research and purchased Feemark’s Ultimate Gastro Ease .
Currently my horse is on long term box rest for a fractured pedal bone - Ultimate Gastro Ease is a part of his daily supplements and we have had no issues in the 5 months he has been in the stable .  He looks fantastic .
I recommend this product for anyone who has a horse with ulcers .

Noticeable difference in my horses demeanour and comfort when on Gastro-Ease. Palatable and value for money.

Great product, it keeps my mare comfortable in her tummy. I have tried different supplements but this is the best by far.

Seems to be very palatable, has totally changed my horses behaviour and was quick to be delivered.

Just started using gastro guard, my horse seems to be settling on this product. Only been using for 2 weeks but looking good so far. Would be nice if this was in a granule or pellet form but that would be my only request.

Much more happy to be groomed and girthed up

My horse had ulcers that bad that even the vet had second option. After treating with appropriate medication as recommended by the vet. I started to use ultimate gastrointestinal ease. Partly as I have always been satisfied with Feedmark products with all three horses. My horse is very calm and much more manageable now. Very happy and will continue to use this product as prevention.

Excellent product wouldn’t be without it now. My mare loves the taste I have tried other products & wasted my money as she wouldn’t eat them ....

I’m loving the Gastro ease, my horse is eating it without issue which I didn’t know if she would as she is fussy, and she is seeming much better in herself, not grumping at her girth and is being very chilled ridden

Very palatable,  my fussy TB loves it and it really helps with his digestion

Nutrition Information

Ensuring digestive comfort is important to allow our horses to thrive and perform to the best of their ability. Ultimate Gastro-Ease® is a unique blend of ingredients that supports comfortable and efficient digestion by providing complete support from the stomach to the hindgut.

The mineral salts Calcium carbonate, Dicalcium phosphate, Magnesium hydroxide, and Magnesium carbonate, contribute to maintaining a healthy gastric environment and help support the mucosal lining of the stomach and small intestine.

Lecithin is highly hydrophobic (water hating), while Pectin forms a gel-like substance that binds to bile acids when exposed to an acidic environment. When combined, Lecithin and Pectin support the natural protective mucosa of the stomach, which is known to become irritated by high-concentrate diets, medications, and stress.

Support for the sensitive microbial population in the hindgut is provided by the unique combination of pre-, pro- and postbiotics in Ultimate Gastro-Ease®:

Prebiotics:

The prebiotics (Fructooligosaccharide (FOS) and Mannan oligosaccharide (MOS)) provide food sources for beneficial bacteria that are responsible for fermenting fibrous foodstuffs the horse eats.

Probiotics:

The probiotic YeaSacc® provides the horse with a supply of live yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) which is an important component of the microbial population, and which stimulates the activity of bacteria within the hindgut, optimising fibre fermentation. This probiotic also maintains activity of bacteria that break down lactate which helps to support the hindgut.

Postbiotics :

Postbiotics are non-living microorganisms and their byproducts, that can support your horse’s gut health. In Ultimate Gastro-Ease®, the postbiotics contain beneficial cell components and metabolites. These work to promote a healthy balance of bacteria in the horse’s gut, supporting overall digestive health.

Postbiotics have been shown to increase volatile fatty acid production in horses, which enhances fibre fermentation, particularly for high-fibre forages. This makes Ultimate Gastro-Ease® particularly beneficial for horses and ponies fed low calorie, high fibre diets and for metabolic or weight management reasons.

Bacteria species within the hindgut are also more consistent in horses fed the postbiotic compared to those fed a control diet, making it beneficial for keeping the hindgut stable and maintaining digestive comfort.

Further supporting immunity in Ultimate Gastro-Ease® are Kaolin and specialised beta glucans which bind to pathogens, helping to keep the gut healthy. The amino acid Glutamine also provides an energy source to immune cells ensuring optimal function.

With an aromatic and settling mint aroma, Ultimate Gastro-Ease® provides a highly palatable unique combination of ingredients suitable for all horses and ponies with additional digestive, gastric and hindgut needs.

Feeding Guide

Weight of Horse/Pony           Amount per day
Up to 250kg 1 ½ scoops
250kg - 400kg 2 ½ scoops
400kg - 600kg 3 ½ scoops
Over 600kg  4 ½ scoops

1 level (50ml) scoop of Ultimate Gastro-Ease® weighs approximately 36g

Ultimate Gastro-Ease® should be added immediately prior to feeding, keeping the supplement as dry as possible, otherwise effectiveness may be lost.

Avoid feeding large concentrate meals (pellets, mixes and grains). Instead feed little and often throughout the day, especially concentrate feeds. Always feed at least 1.5% of your horse's body weight per day as fibrous forage (for a 500kg horse feed at least 7.5kg of fibre per day). Horses showing signs of excess acid should have continuous access to forage.

Ultimate Gastro-Ease® is a complementary feeding stuff for equine animals. Feed supplements should be fed according to body weight. Introduce to the horse’s diet gradually, splitting between feeds (when applicable). Feedmark uses nothing in the formulation of this product that contravenes competition rules.

Shake periodically to avoid settling.

How does Ultimate Gastro-Ease® support my horse’s entire digestive tract?

Ultimate Gastro-Ease® supports the horse’s entire digestive tract by combining a unique blend of ingredients that support the stomach, small intestine, and the hindgut:

Stomach and small intestine: Mineral Salts, Lecithin, and Pectin help maintain a healthy gastric environment and support the mucosal lining.

Hingut: A combination of pro, pre, and post biotics support a stable and healthy microbial population in the hindgut.

Can this supplement be fed in damp feed?

We recommend feeding Ultimate Gastro-Ease® as dry as possible as when exposed to moisture for a long period the supplement can be less effective. We advise adding just prior to feeding, or layering between chaff.

How long will it take to help support my horse's digestive system?

This will differ depending on your horse. We always suggest that you feed a supplement for at least 4 weeks at the recommended serving rate for your horse’s weight to see how they respond.
